Ecological campsite near Fontainebleau

An everyday commitment from everyone.”

Ecology: Our Commitment

Dedication and Conviction

Our desire is that respecting nature becomes standard and that we raise our customers awareness with initiatives and games such as, for example, scavenger hunts in the forest. The nearby forest of Fontainebleau has been declared a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve and serves a great inspiration for us.

We are committed to having a low energy impact. For this reason, our facilities are equipped with:

  • Motion detectors in the common rooms so that lights are switched on and off automatically.
  • Times faucets and shower valves avoid wasting water with a push of a button (10% less water consumption in 2019!)

Being ecologically committed also means reducing noise pollution within the campsite. We are very attentive to the well-being of our guests so you will not have to be annoyed by loud music or barking dogs at our campsite, rather you can enjoy quiet and peaceful nights thanks to limited car access between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. To this end, we also offer the option of renting electric bicycles, which are not only quiet but provide the perfect opportunity for a little exercise as well!

Respect

We stay committed to the environment every day

Authenticity

Returning back to nature is the real luxury

Simplicity

The simple things in life are the most fun

Together for nature!

Everyone can do something for the environment in their daily life

Our guest share our commitment and everyone takes the right measures and uses the premises responsibly by respecting the rules and guidelines. And thanks to our customers’ recommendations, we can keep getting better! Thanks to a partnership with Patatadom (fruit and vegetable supplier in Malesherbes), we also offer produce boxes from the region which support local farmers. Enjoy fresh and local fruits, vegetables and eggs which you can cook and enjoy straightaway! (We do not yet provide prepare food).

At the campground Ile de Boulancourt, we have put even more effort to protect the ecosystem by adopting several measures to become even “greener”:

Use of electricity from renewable energy sources

Waste separation with information sheet

Professional composting system

Rainwater collection to water the plants

Environmentally friendly cleaning and maintenance products

Regulated lawn mowing
